Quick Think of the Week

My first think goes out to my boyfriend Corey, for informing me that Queen Elizabeth the second owns a cruise ship that can only travel six inches for each gallon of diesel that it burns. Now here's where my thinking comes in. If this cruise ship only gets six inches to every gallon of gas that it has, and the ship can hold 4,600 gallons of gas, that means the ship can travel 27,600 inches without running out of fuel. This equates to 2,300 feet. Considering that there are 5,280 feet in a mile, this would mean that the Queen's entire cruise ship can only travel 2.3 miles without running out of gas. Looks like they probably won't make it that far, and it's probably a little difficult to turn a cruise ship around. I'm sure the ship probably has multiple ways to keep the ship going. I read about it online, and apparently they can generate their own energy which they would need 50 people for. Other websites say that the ship can travel 10-12 days without stopping. However, assuming the information I chose to use is correct, this whole thing is pretty funny! It's almost shocking that they would only be able to go that far. I guess it's for the best that they have multiple ways to keep going! That's my quick think of the week, guys! Thanks for reading! I wonder what I'll write about next week!
